Barbara Roos is one of the South’s leading authorities in the world of special event consulting who collaborates with planners, designers, and her top vendor teams to guide the event planning process seamlessly. For over three decades, Barbara has partnered with the most talented event designers and vendors to produce an average of 90 events per year, many of which have been featured in local, regional, and national publications. She is the recipient of the Bob Blaesing, CSEP, Lifetime Achievement Award for her impact, innovation, dedication, and achievement in the Atlanta events community over the course of her career. In 2018, Barbara was also one of eight women selected for the 11th annual Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Women of Style & Substance for serving the community with grace and style.
In addition to her achievements in the events industry, Barbara is equally known for her commitment to community service and fundraising for some of the nation’s most significant non-profit organizations. In fact, 2018 marked the 40th consecutive year of service from the Roos family to the Atlanta chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), including breaking the gala’s previous fundraising efforts twice as the gala chair. Barbara is half of the namesake of the Barbara & Duke Roos Living & Giving Award given every year at Atlanta’s JDRF Hope Gala and the recipient of the 2017 Ian’s Friends Foundation (IFF) Lifetime Achievement Award. Barbara’s proven track record with non-profits such as Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Ian’s Friends Foundation, JDRF Atlanta, Grady Healthcare Foundation, Team Type One, and many others have led to favorable results through her guidance, event strategy, and natural ability to invigorate any non-profits’ event fundraising efforts.
